About Me

In short, I'm a dip me in gravy and throw me to the puppies kinda girl!

But seriously, if you cut my heart in half, you'd find the definition of 'animal lover' inside. I was born that way and it has never changed. I've always preferred animals to people... No offence.

I lived in London for 30 years. While there I ran a doggy daycare from my home (I can hear your sighs of envy right now) and would draw in my spare time. Three years ago, escaped the bustling of the city and moved to sunny Suffolk. With the day to day support of my partner and two very dear friends, I now have more time to draw and I make the most of it.

I grew up with cats, dogs, horses, birds and tortoises and spent oodles of time outdoors, in forests and along rivers (mainly Epping Forest and the Hertfordshire countryside). I've always been naturally creative, so it was inevitable that these two worlds would collide...and here I am, an animal artist.

Ask anyone who has known me my whole life and they will tell you I have been drawing since I could pick up a pencil. I do what I love and I love what I do. The good news is, I'm here to share!...

I love to share my love for animals, nature and art. Whether you're someone who just lurks in the shadows of my Instagram or have purchased multiple commissions, you're all welcome in my creative world. If you have a creature in mind (however big, small, furry or feathery) but don't see it in my portfolio, ping me a message! I love to be inspired by other peoples' love for animals and nature, so give me an "Oi...why don't you draw a *insert random animal here*" any time.

Over the years, I tried out many different mediums before settling on digital art. Here is an example of my hand drawn pastel work...

One last thing I would like to share is this; during my school years I was told on a number of occasions to keep my art as a hobby and not waste my time pursuing it in any way. But over the years, my heart kept pulling me back to it. The more I pulled away in an effort to take advice from elders, the more I found myself going back to it, getting lost in its messy beautiful world and building on my skills. The best thing about what I do is inspiring people, especially those younger than me. If your heart tells you to do it, then do it!

I hope you enjoy my work at least half as much as I enjoy creating it and I am genuinely looking forward to building my portfolio for you.
